Top and centre cabin struts

Aircraft: Bushcat 19-2226
Task Date: 06/09/2025
Builder: Malcolm Hardy
Category: Fuselage
Section: 51
Hours: 1 hr
Task:

Ed Castro helped me to install these struts.
The top bolt holes in the struts did not line up with the top bracket holes.
We tried lifting the tail, Ed sitting in the cockpit. Neither of these techniques worked.
Ed then tried lifting the front of the fuselage by holding onto the top engine mounts.
This finally enabled me to insert the top bolt.
I think if the aircraft had a nosewheel, the lifting the tail would have worked.
The compass bracket was fitted 2 days prior. This required the removal of the battery to enable access to the nyloc nuts for the bracket.
